While it is not necessary to have a doctor's referral to make an appointment, if you are suffering anxiety or depression you can ask your GP to send a referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan to me via fax or email, so that you can qualify for the Medicare rebate. A Mental Health Care Plan provides a rebate of $98.95 for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year.
